Square - Oval
Oblong - Round

Q: What frame shape best suits my prescription? In general if you have a basic type of lens and your prescription is standard you can wear just about any shape. If however you have a high plus or minus lens you should stick to a small frame therefore your lenses will be thinner. Using a high index material for your lenses will also reduce the thickness. People who wear multifocals will need a frame with at least 25mm depth in order to get the best use from this type of lens. Q: What is the best way to look after my glasses? Washing your glasses everyday in cold tap water is the best way to keep them clean. Glasses should be adjusted at least every 6 months, to alleviate everyday wear and tear. The nose pads on metal frames will also need to be regularly changed, this is indicated by a change in colour. Visit one of our showrooms and have your glasses complimentary cleaned and adjusted. Q: How often should I have my eyes examined, and do I need a referral from my doctor? Eye examinations are recommended every 2 years and can be bulk billed to Medicare. You do not need a referral from your GP for an appointment with an Optometrist. However if you do not need a new prescription we can also duplicate the one you are wearing to make your new glasses.
